Senior Missionaries

We are so happy to be serving with a number of other Senior Missionary couples.  No one is close to us (meaning distance), in fact most of the couples except those in the office are in far-flung wards or branches in the mission, one as far as Newfoundland!  There are 17 senior couples and 3 senior sisters serving.

In our Atlantic Zone, there are 4 couples.  There is one couple in the Halifax area (Olsen), us in Sydney, NS, Cohen in Newfoundland, and the Child's are in Greenwood, NS.  We have become fast friends, and enjoy our opportunities to get together and share experiences and insights that help each of us become better.  I can see that we will hold a dear spot in our hearts for each of them, like we have for all the couples that served with us in Cusco, Peru.

We get to be with these lovely and faithful couples about every 6 weeks for Zone Conference, the other couples not so much, but we do have a weekly Zoom meeting for senior missionaries every Monday, so at least we can see and hear them.

Every senior missionary fills a critical need, and we sure could use more of them (you)!  So if you're wondering what you could do in the next 6 months, or year, or 18 months .  .  .

The assignments are:

Of course we can't forget the wonderful couples and senior sisters who were with us at the Provo MTC back in April, about 60 in all.  We keep in touch with several of them who were in our "district" and are serving in different parts of the USA:  North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Texas.
